In excellent condition, it's made from robust stoneware, with a dark brown, tactile salt glaze. We think it would be perfect next to a Aga or cooker to keep utensils close to hand, or simply as a rustic way to store dry goods!

Crafted in the mid-late 19th century in the heart of the East Midlands by either one of the Derbyshire or Nottingham potteries (Chesterfield or Brampton), its 'cobbled' design is typical of their traditional, salt glazed wares.

W: 12cm (5") base diameter
Condition:
In excellent antique condition throughout especially given its age. Free of large chips, (displaying only small small nibbles to its bottom edge), cracks or repair. Its cork stopper is a little worn but fits well, but it could be quite easily to replace this as desired.
