Characterful and Crazed Off-White Serving Platter

£30.00

This extremely characterful, old white serving plate, is a piece for a lover of the 'perfectly-imperfect'!

In a delicate off-white shade, it features just the right amount of gentle wear, crazing and rich 'tea-staining' giving it a relaxed, most beautifully honest finish.

We think it would make the most wonderful of 'faded' display pieces in any farmhouse or country styled interior.

Key Points:
• A beautiful crazed serving plate
• Off white with 'tea-staining'
• Fully marked to base
• By Swinnertons, Stoke on Trent
• Good vintage condition as below

Year of manufacture:

c. 1930s-1940s

Pattern:
Majestic Vellium

Origin:
England

Approx. Measurements:
W: 29.5cm
D: 23cm

Condition:
In fair vintage condition for its years, but with its flaws, comes a genuinely aged finish. It has plenty of surface crazing to its glaze, gentle tea-staining and discolouration in patches, some light pink flecks to its front face, rub to its edges and a small hairline-crack to its back. While this piece is no in any way a pristine serving plate, it is aged to perfection and absolutely more than usable. Please view all images to ensure you are happy with its rustic finish.

Buyers Guide:
It is very important to note, that all the pieces Roof + Roof sell are genuine pieces of age, each having a rich and varied past and are never sold as in new condition. With this in mind, minor blemishes, surface scratches, manufacturing flaws and a general sense of their age and history are naturally to be expected. We always try, to the best of our ability to honestly and clearly communicate an items condition, both in our description and photography, highlighting anything over and above what we perceive as ‘general age related wear and tear'. We kindly ask you look closely at all our photos, using the zoom facility, as these naturally form part of the item's description.

Please be aware that your monitor, tablet, or mobile device may emulate colours/tones differently 'on screen' to that of the actual physical item, all of which are photographed and shown to the best of our abilities. Any item/prop shown in our photography is used for styling purposes only. Prior to purchasing, if you would like further clarification on any item, then we are always happy to help in any way possible.
