These old intricately carved printing blocks, were used to get the impressions for hand-block ‘Wood-cut’ prints onto fabrics. Likely to be from the Kashmiri region of India, they were made around 60-70 years ago and are super one-of-a-kind decorative pieces.
Made from hardwood, likely teak, with some characterful traces of their natural dye remaining, they'd make a beautifully rustic display, or could be put to good use stamping fabrics, or natural papers for gift wrap or card making.

They have some small amounts of characterful surface wear, light surface scratches and a small traces of natural dyes present. The linear patterned block has a brass cup hook screw in its handle which means it could be wall or ceiling hung.
