A superb example of quality English Ironstone china, featuring a striking Willow pattern, in an inky, blue hue. This handsome piece, by Burgess & Leigh (Burleigh Ware) dating from the 1930's is a spotlessly clean example.
Its pattern is set against a gorgeous off-white background, edged to its outer with Chinoiserie scenes, completed with an impressive willow pattern interior.

Condition:
In excellent condition throughout. It has a remarkably clean and crisp pattern, interior and exterior showing very little wear or use aside from a few sparse utensil marks when tipped towards the light.
The only very minor flaw of note are a couple of tiny spots of discolouration to its edges and base which is very common in genuine Ironstone wares. It is chip, crack and nibble free.
